Correspondence to Alma Mahler, 1941-1957.

The letter from Heddy (presumably Hedwig) Fülöp-Miller, written from Vienna and dated 1941, relates that she and René had been married for more than 21 years but that he had left her some time ago; she appeals for Alma Mahler's help in a court proceeding to obtain support from him. The remaining letters from Erika and Rene Fülöp-Miller (dated 1948 to 1957) indicate that they were married and living in New York, later Connecticut. Erika mentions having put together a volume of her poems. The folder includes copies of 2 published essays sent to Alma Mahler by René Fülöp-Miller: 1 by Edwin Fischer, recounting memories of a performance by Gustav Mahler in 1903 (1949) and 1 by René Fülöp-Miller entitled "Faiths for a Complex World" (1957).
